Pictures of Tracheal Resection and Anastomosis

This patient was endotracheally intubated for one month.  She later presented with stridor, dyspnea and orthopnea. Tracheal stenosis was noted on a CT scan. Through rigid bronchoscopy, the circumferential scar was repeatedly vaporized with CO2 laser with temporary relief  of the dyspnea and stridor.  Finally, the stenotic segment was resected (right) and the trachea anastomosed (picture below).
