Benign Migratory Glossitis or Geographic Tongue
is a fairly-common condition of unknown etiology, manifesting as multiple, irregular,
flat red and white lesions of the dorsum of
the tongue. These patches change shape
and migrate, hence the name benign migratory glossitis. As the name indicates, this is a benign condition that does not require any treatment.
