Candidiasis (Moniliasis) of the Larynx

This elderly, malnourished, immunocopmromised patient was receiving chemotherapy for lung cancer. He developed thrush in the oral cavity and pharynx. The fungal infection also spread to his larynx. Note the characteristic chalk-white patches of Candida albicans infection on the ventral surface of the epiglottis.
