Pictures and Anatomy of the Incus

ANATOMY
The incus, or anvil, articulates with the posterior surface of the head of the malleus. Its lenticular process (lentiform nodule) articulates with the capitulum of the stapes.  Its short process rests in the fossa incudis, in the posterior aspect of the epitympanic recess.
